She's been called one of the world's fastest-rising female DJs and has partied with Leonardo DiCaprio and Paris Hilton in New York.

And on the back of her international success, Stacie Todd has returned to Perth to headline what is shaping to be one of the hottest New Year's Eve parties in town.

The Woodvale-raised DJ, who splits her time between Miami and New York, will spin the decks at Print Hall's prohibition bash on Tuesday night during her first trip home in more than a year.

It's been a quick rise to the top for the former model, who stumbled into the career by chance less than two years ago while filming the US reality show Ocean Models in Miami.

Now booked around the world regularly, it's not unusual for Todd to catch four flights across the globe in a week, yet she still has to pinch herself when she rubs shoulders with Hollywood celebrities at her gigs.

"I was working at Avenue (nightclub) in New York City and Leonardo DiCaprio was in the DJ booth with Paris Hilton," the 23-year-old said.

"They walk in like they are everyday people, it's crazy to see them."

With her sights set on becoming the No.1 female DJ on the international circuit, Todd has had to accept being away from family and friends for long periods of time.

But she says they are all supportive of her career choice.

"My mum and dad love it, they are so supportive, and my friends can't believe I am a DJ," she said.
