Fly-by vision of the Perth City Link project released today predicts a bustling corporate and residential area which will become a major landmark of the central business district.
Planning Minister John Day yesterday revealed a consortium comprised of Leighton Properties and Mirvac Group had been chosen to develop the State Government’s 5.1 hectare land holding in a project which would complete what he hailed as one of Australia’s most significant transit-oriented developments.
He said the new urban community development, designed to link Northbridge with the CBD, would incorporate a new hotel, offices, shops, cafes, bars, apartments and new public spaces.

“In the next 10 to 15 years, West Australians can expect to see this area transformed with quality-designed buildings, inviting public spaces and improved connections across the city,” Mr Day said.
