A 21-year-old man is facing a Sunshine Coast court today, charged with the murder of a grandfather.
53-year-old Bruce Steensen died in hospital on Saturday night after a one-punch attack.
Police say he'd been involved in an altercation with three young men on the Mooloolaba Esplanade.
He was walking away when he was chased and punched in the face.
Bruce was a well-known AFL identity and was catching up with footy friends when the attack happened.
It is just devastating this, it's gotta stop.
It has gone from young guys being hit to older guys getting hit now.
Police still want to talk to two men who were with the accused at the time of the attack, as well as a taxidriver in the area.
