Ebullient brothers Joe and John Fisher are doing interesting things with Clancy's Fish Pub on Caves Road just out of Dunsborough.
Happily situated by a lake, surrounded by bush and featuring flexible exhibition and performance spaces inside and out, this newest addition to the Clancy's Fish Pub Group has already played host to John Butler and CinefestOZ.
I recently travelled down to launch a new series of book readings for Margaret River Press and was immediately impressed by the open fireplaces, eclectic furniture, excellent food (my spiced pumpkin and cauliflower dahl with coconut roti was to die for), regional wines and warm hospitality. The brothers are keen to get a cabaret up and running, and are open to other ideas. If you're looking for a performance venue with a difference, this could just be the ticket. Clancy's Fish Pub, 1710 Caves Road, Dunsborough.
