Following the most successful opening to a snow season in Perisher a new Android App is available for travellers heading to the alpine playground for a winter getaway. The new Android app compliments the existing iPhone app which was launched last year.
One of the key features of the apps is the ability for travellers to reload MyRide Lift Tickets on the go straight from either of the smartphone devices. The upgraded mobile site also offers guests' access to weather updates, lift status, snow cams and a range of other valuable information, from the palm of their hand.
PR and business development manager Neil Thew said the new smartphone capabilities were a step in the right direction for Perisher tourism. "We're incredibly excited about the new Perisher Android app and smartphone ticket reloading capabilities. We're the first Australian snow resort to venture into this idea of technology and are looking forward to seeing just how popular and useful it is among our guests," he said.
Also currently available for Perisher visitors is the MyRide Dashboard, a platform which enables guests to track the number of vertical metres covered throughout their stay on the mountain. MyRide Dashboard updates are delivered in real time and travellers can share their Perisher experiences, with friends and family through social networking.Mr Thew commended the real time capacity of the MyRide Dashboard. "Due to its enhanced mobile functionality, guests can now enjoy the benefits of MyRide Dashboard in real time from their mobile phones," he said.
