Are you our next Young Travel Writer?

Enter our Young Travel Writer contest for your chance to have your stories published and to win a Canon camera. Supplied picture

It is one of the highlights of our year - encouraging would-be young travel writers to send us the stories of their travels and adventures, and then meeting the winners from among them on our workshop day, to pass on some tips, and a Canon G12 Powershot camera each.

This is the fourth year that we have run Young Travel Writer - and we still hear from our past winners and publish their stories.

So, youngsters, get writing about a holiday destination or experience for the chance to be one of our Young Travel Writers.

THE PRIZES

Each of our 10 winners will have their article published in The Weekend West's Travel liftout, and:

• Win a new Canon G12 Powershot camera, thanks to sponsors Canon Australia.

• Spend a day on assignment at the Western Australian Museum with The West Australian's award-winning Travel Editor, Stephen Scourfield, learning the finer points of travel writing and photography.
