It is one of the highlights of our year - encouraging would-be young travel writers to send us the stories of their travels and adventures, and then meeting the winners from among them on our workshop day, to pass on some tips, and a Canon G12 Powershot camera each.
This is the fourth year that we have run Young Travel Writer - and we still hear from our past winners and publish their stories.
So, youngsters, get writing about a holiday destination or experience for the chance to be one of our Young Travel Writers.
THE PRIZES
Each of our 10 winners will have their article published in The Weekend West's Travel liftout, and:
• Win a new Canon G12 Powershot camera, thanks to sponsors Canon Australia.
• Spend a day on assignment at the Western Australian Museum with The West Australian's award-winning Travel Editor, Stephen Scourfield, learning the finer points of travel writing and photography.

RULES
Entrants must be in secondary school and aged 13-17. Entries must be by individual students. (No joint entries.) Students may submit more than one entry. Written article/photographs must be the student's own work. Entries not within 300 to 400-word limit will be disqualified. Photos must be attached as separate jpegs. Do not send attachments as PDF documents.
