Trainer Jim Taylor unveiled another potential top galloper when Bells Tower scored on debut at Ascot today.
Backing up impressive wins at his past two trials, Bells Tower ($2.50 favourite) prevailed in a thrilling photo finish with four horses spread across the track.
Bells Tower, who settled third on the fence for jockey Jason Brown, took an inside run in the straight to beat You Will Be Queen ($4.20) by a short head.
Foxalicious ($6.50) and Benito ($4) also finished close up when third and fourth.
Taylor forecast a big future ahead for three-year-old Bells Tower.
"I think he's a pretty decent horse," Taylor said.
"He's probably ready for a mile today so to pick himself up (after a bump early) and win, he's a very good horse.
"He's a very fiery horse. He's got the ability and he'll improve out of sight."
Taylor has a fascination with Statue Of Liberty stock after training Hay List before he was sent interstate and rose to stardom.
The Bullsbrook trainer suggested to connections of Magical Belle to send her to Statue Of Liberty when the mare's racing career finished.
"The mother broke down when Hay List was unraced," Taylor said.
"She was a very good filly and I said to the owners 'go to Statue Of Liberty, you might get a good horse' and it looks like we've got one."
