Round nine water polo action kicked off on Friday night with a surprise win to Rats over Demons in the women’s competition.

Demons were without some regular players, but nothing could be taken away from the Rats outfit that jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first.

Demons rallied in the last term but could not make up the deficit and went down 4-3.

Young gun Jenna Renton netted two for the victors while Demons had three individual scorers.

Better players were named as Renton, Gabby Abrams, Kate Kalajzich and Melanie McVee.
