Bacchus Eagle crossed the finish line in a cloud of dust to win its second consecutive Cup at Wyndham last weekend.
Jockey Belinda Carlile rode the gelding to victory in the $15,000 Kimberley Metals Group Wyndham Cup on Saturday, just one week after winning the $7500 Halls Creek Cup at the same track.
A big crowd turned out to witness the cup race, the second of four meetings in the East Kimberley racing season.
This Saturday a field of about 50 horses will race at the annual ladies’ day meeting at Kununurra.
Gallopers in the KI Group Cup will be competing for $10,000 and a further $9000 is on offer for the Ladies Bracelet race.
The remaining races all offer $7000 in prize money.
Next weekend’s Kununurra Cup, the biggest race on the local calendar, is worth $15,000.Sponsored links
