Hawthorn will unleash Bradley Hill, younger brother of Fremantle's Stephen, on the wide expanses of Patersons Stadium this weekend with confirmation the 18-year-old will make his AFL debut against the Eagles.

Taken at pick 33 in last year's draft, Hil, a product of West Perth, rocketed up the pecking order late in the year with a series of outstanding results at the AFL draft combine.

Not only did he break the combine record in the beep test with a 16.1, Hill also won the 3km time trail, finished fifth in the 20m sprint and placed 10th in the 30m repeat sprint test.

Considered a smokey to make his debut at all in 2012, the West Perth product told the Hawks website it was a particular honour to run out in his home state.

"It will be really good, school mates can come so it works out even better, instead of it being over in Melbourne," he said.

Hill replaces Luke Breust, who was heavily concussed against the Crows last week.

As expected West Coast recalled skipper Darren Glass, midfielder Matt Rosa and on-baller Matt Priddis.

Mitch Brown and Koby Stevens were relegated while the Eagles had to overlook Bradd Dalziell because of a long-term knee injury.
