Former Force back joins French club

Former Western Force utility back Ben Seymour has signed for Top 14 strugglers Agen until the end of the season after passing his medical, the French club has announced.

Seymour, 22, was not retained by new Force coach Michael Foley in his player clean out at the end of this year's disastrous Super Rugby competition.

He made 13 appearances at full-back and fly-half in his only season at the Force.

He has the option of extending his stay at Agen for another year and could make his debut for the club against table toppers Toulon on Saturday.

“If he gets his licence in time, he could play at fullback against Toulon,” said Agen backs coach David Darricarrere.

Agen are presently second from bottom of the table after 12 games, but just one point from safety.

He will link up with centre Junior Pelesasa, a Force foundation member who spent four seasons with the club.
