American three-year-old Westernator, a winner in Philadelphia in fast time this season, has joined trainer Gary Hall Sr's Serpentine stable and will be set for Gloucester Park feature events.
Hall said the Western Ideal colt, bought in partnership by Perth owner-breeder Robert Watson, was adapting to WA conditions and looked impressive.
"His times confirm he's a class youngster," Hall said. "We'll handle him patiently and he won't be rushed while acclimatising."
The lightly-raced colt rated 1:56.4 when winning in Philadelphia on October 7.
Westernator was foaled by Australian-bred Miss Galvinator, a prolific winner who earned stakes totalling $1.1 million.
Hall, who has spelled champion Im Themightyquinn, will start next month's $200,000 WA Derby (2536m) candidates Northview Punter and Slick Chapel in the $40,000 Caduceus Club Classic (2130m) at Gloucester Park tomorrow night.
The trainer's reinsman son Gary Jr will drive Northview Punter, who drew gate three. Kim Prentice is booked to drive back-line starter Slick Chapel.
"Northview Punter rated 1:57.6 when he won a Byford trial on Sunday," Hall Sr said.
"I'm very happy with his progress. Slick Chapel is working well and shouldn't be underrated."
Hall Jr will drive Rebel Scooter, Is She Talking, My Jasami, Jaccka Felix and DB Dazzler for his father in support races tomorrow night.
Driving engagements for other Hall stable runners are Dashing Christian (Chris Voak), Famous Alchemist (Prentice) and Rakarebel (Chris Butt).
Ryan Bell has been booked by trainer Andrew De Campo to drive Goldenorro, Trojan Bromac, Bollinger Baby and Adda Paternal Suit.
He replaces De Campo's son Aiden, who received an 11-day suspension at Collie on Sunday.
Stewards have also suspended reinsman Shane Loone for six weeks after inquiring into his drive on Octavian, who finished more than 100m behind winner Bruce Almighty at Narrogin last Thursday.
Loone, who persevered with an unsuccessful bid to take the early lead, pleaded guilty to unacceptable driving.
Matthew White (six weeks) and Michelle Prinsloo (four weeks) have been banned for unacceptable drives in the past month.Prentice will drive Octavian in the Aerobics Pace (1730m).
