Apprentice Natasha Faithfull will be sidelined for 30 days after she was suspended for careless riding in race six at Ascot yesterday.

Faithfull was in hot water with stewards for riding her mount, Kalahaar, outward a when insufficiently clear of Geiger Rio near the 100m.

The interference caused Geiger Rio to blunder and dislodge jockey Shaun O'Donnell, who took a heavy fall.

O'Donnell was ruled out of riding in the final race. He was complaining of a headache but appeared to escape any injury.

Geiger Rio pulled up with muscle soreness and was also lame.

Kalahaar finished third behind Teen Idol as favourite in the race.
