Cavallo Pazzo wins Newmarket at Belmont

Perth Cup-winning rider Kyra Yuill scored yesterday aboard Cavallo Pazzo in the $80,000 Belmont Newmarket (1200m) at Belmont Park.

Upsetting red hot favourite Latoria, which disappointed punters by running last, Yuill took Cavallo Pazzo wide in the straight to end over the top of Gum Nut Guru (second) and Our Ol' Fella (third).

Trainer Ted Martinovich says Cavallo Pazzo will now be set for the $130,000 Hannan's Handicap (1400m) at Kalgoorlie on September 19.
