Mark Pevinsky stayed on track at the Australian Amateur Boxing Championships in Hobart with a second win in successive days.

The Peterson's fighter followed up his opening day KO victory with a 14-8 defeat of Victorian Jeremy Udovich last night.

Pevinsky now moves into the elite men's semifinals at 60kg, where he will be joined by another West Aussie, Paul Wisby, who beat NSW's Tommy Smith 18-10.

The other elite male from WA in action yesterday, Jeremy van Dieman, enjoyed a convincing 22-10 success against Henry Torrens (Vic) at 81kg.

In the in the elite women's competition, Jessica Bouquet (75kg) lost 15-14 to Arlene Blencowe (NSW), while fancied West Aussie Kelly McGrath (51kg) received a walkover victory.

This morning, Brett Mather (64kg), Abdul Jenzarli and Danny Hayes (both 69kg), and Ross Weaver (75kg) are in semifinal action in the elite men's event.

The eventual men's champions will go on to box at the Oceania Games in Canberra next month, where they can clinch Olympic berths in all but one division.

Damien Hooper, of Queensland, is already confirmed as the Oceania representative at 81kg division for London after he reached the quarterfinals at the world championships in Azerbaijan late last year.

Women's boxing will be at the Olympics for the first time and the three national champions will head to the world titles in China in May for the next stage in qualification.
