The Fremantle Dockers returned to WA today to a crowd of dedicated fans after their 10-point loss to the Adelaide Crows last night.

Fans dressed in purple and holding banners had autographs signed and took photos of the team, whose faces were etched with disappointment after being kicked out of the finals.

Last night’s match saw the Dockers start off strong, leading the match until halftime.

But in the third quarter they seemed to slowly fall short of the Crows, who won the match 81 to 71.

Michael Walters and Christopher Maybe scored three goals each for the purple army but after three-quarter time the Dockers couldn’t quite catch the Crows.

Despite the loss, the passionate fans were pleased with the team’s effort and expressed that whether Fremantle win or lose, they will always have faithful fans.
