Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake could be joining compatriot Usain Bolt in the T20 Big Bash this summer, with the Sydney Sixers reportedly chasing his signature.

The duo have faced off in a number of sprinting epics over the past four years, but Blake's acceptance of the Sixers' offers could see a showdown with bat and ball after Bolt earlier this week entertained an offer from Shane Warne to join the Melbourne Stars.

News Ltd is reporting that Sixers chief executive Stuart Clark has made contact with the man known as 'The Beast' and is willing to make him an offer.

"For one he is a great athlete, and yes he would be a marketer's dream, but from all reports he can actually play cricket and that's better than anything else," Clark told News Ltd.

"I will need to see some footage of him bowling, but he has been saying he can bowl (145kmh), very few people in the world can do that.

"Usain Bolt is a great showman and entertainer, but he can't play cricket as far as I'm aware, to the standard necessary. Yohan Blake can, it seems."
