Bulldogs fan, 70, racially abused Swans
A 70-year-old Western Bulldogs supporter was evicted from Etihad Stadium yesterday for racially abusing two Sydney Swans players.
afl.com.au says the two players abused were believed to be Lance Franklin and Adam Goodes.
"The behaviour of the man was reported to police by other supporters in the stadium," a police spokesperson said.
"The 70-year-old Newport man will receive a penalty notice in relation to offensive behaviour.
"Police have spoken to representatives from the Sydney Swans Football Club and have been advised the comments were not heard by any players."
Goodes was at the centre of a similar incident last year when he was racially abused by a teenage Collingwood fan.
