Two WA products are getting a chance to impress AFL scouts before the draft later this month by being invited to train with senior squads.

East Perth midfielder Nick Kommer will work with Essendon from this week while former Subiaco and West Coast player Adam Cockie, now with VFL team Sandringham, will train with St Kilda, before ex-Lions coach Scott Watters.

Nine players have been allowed to train with five AFL clubs so far.

They include former Brisbane player Cheynee Stiller, who will join the Melbourne squad.

Delisted North Melbourne player Ben Speight has been permitted to continue training with the Kangaroos with an eye to rejoining the club via the rookie list.
