She is not much bigger than the footballs her Eagle dad disposes of quicker than most, but Nala May Priddis is one tiny package who has her father's full attention.
West Coast star Matt Priddis and wife Ashleigh welcomed their first child into the world this week and already the tough midfielder says he is a changed man.
The Eagles' nest will be awash with bubs next season with four players' wives pregnant and several others with babies under two.
Priddis, a fan favourite, said his daughter's birth early on Monday was one of the happiest moments of his life. Just two days earlier he and Ashleigh attended the West Coast champion awards, where Priddis finished in the top 10.
Nala's birth has come at the ideal time for the midfielder, who is on a football break until the middle of next month and can now enjoy the first month of his daughter's life at home. "It's one of the best days of your life," Priddis said.
"I'm just trying to be in the moment for as long as I can because it goes so quick and I'm enjoying every minute.
"The timing (of her birth) is the best thing about it. We can give her all the attention she wants and just enjoy it."Mrs Priddis was induced on Sunday night and by Monday morning Nala arrived safely and a week early, weighing 3.195kg.
