Former St Kilda great Nicky Winmar is in Royal Perth Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
A spokeswoman for RPH told AAP that Winmar is in a stable condition.
Winmar famously pulled up his No.7 guernsey in a match at Victoria Park in 1993 and pointed to his dark skin after coming in for some hostile jeering and racist taunts from Collingwood fans.
