Aaron Sandilands will make his comeback for a Fremantle side this weekend, but it will be at East Fremantle Oval rather than Patersons Stadium.
The Dockers today confirmed they intend to play the 211cm ruckman with East Fremantle in the WAFL rather than rush him back into the senior side.
Sandilands has been sidelined with a turf toe injury since round 11 and was named as an emergency for this week's clash between Fremantle and Richmond.
While there was speculation he could be a late inclusion for the Dockers, it now looks almost certain that Sandilands will play for the Sharks against West Perth on Sunday.
He will be joined in the side by Eagles spearhead Josh Kennedy, who is also returning from a long-term injury, making it a tough proposition for the fifth-placed Falcons.
“It’s been a while since I played WAFL, I think it was about six or seven years ago,” Sandilands told fremantlefc.com.au.
“I’m starting to get the run back into the legs and it will be good to get a bit of match fitness now.“After being out for so long I’m keen as mustard to be playing footy instead of running laps.”
