Young people had plenty of opportunities to socialise and try new skills at the Lot 208 Youth Inc’s holiday activities throughout January.

Morning sessions for eight to 12-year-old children focused on craft activities and teenagers could drop in during the afternoon to socialise with their peers.

Air hockey, Nintendo games, table tennis and pool were in popular demand with young people during the longsummerbreak.

Special holiday activities were also held in Brunswick and Yarloop.

Centre manager Lyn Watt said all centres were well attended.

Special highlights were the Sk8ing Unleashed coaching sessions with Freestyle Now in Australind and Harvey and the excursion to Adventure World.

Mrs Lyn said the trip to Adventure World was booked out and 41 young people, accompanied by four staff members, had a fantastic day out on a hot summer day.

Kidzone for eight to 12-year-old children in Australind, Yarloop and Brunswick starts up again this week and Friday night Youth Space YourPlace in Australind for teenagers starts this Friday.
