Collie residents were woken by two controlled explosions outside of the town early this morning.
Yesterday Department of Environment and Conservation officers discovered chemicals in bushland 15km outside of Harvey.
The chemicals were taken back to a Wittenoom Street lab in Collie where officers found they were of an ``unstable and explosive’’ behaviour, according to a police spokeswoman.
