Detectives have called for information about a stolen car that was caught speeding near Dalyellup in May.

Central Metropolitan District Crime Team detectives said the burglary happened at a home on Lapsley Road, Claremont overnight on May 22.

Police allege a black Subaru Impreza with the number plate 1ABP 453 was stolen from the home that night and then photographed at 1.42pm the next day on the Bussell Highway, Dalyellup, by a speed camera.

Detectives hope someone may recognise the driver.

He appears to have olive skin and a moustache and is wearing aviator style sunglasses.

The vehicle was recovered at Australind on May 24.
