Australind man charged with assaulting partner

South West detectives have charged an Australind man with aggravated assault after he allegedly beat and injured his 23-year-old partner.
Police say the woman ran for help from her home to a neighbour's house about 10.30 last night.
Police later arrested her 31-year-old partner who is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrate's Court today on a charge of aggravated assaulted causing bodily harm.
Two small children were in the woman's house at the time of the alleged assault.Follow thewest.com.au on Twitter
