Faster net speeds on the way

NBN Co announced yesterday they would lodge planning applications for fixed wireless network infrastructure with 35 WA local governments in the coming months.

Fixed wireless broadband will service communities with less than 1000 premises and deliver speeds of up to 12Mbps, with plans for higher speeds in the future.

The majority of premises in the City will be served by fibre technology, delivering speeds of up to 100Mbps, while very remote premises will be served by satellite.
