For Manjimup folk who need a caffeine fix to get going in the morning, have no fear — The Coffee Tree has arrived.
Steph Fontanini is at the wheel and is single-handedly making Manjimup an altogether more perky place to be.
She said she was enjoying the experience of running her own business — even if it did mean braving some pretty chilly early mornings throughout winter.
‘‘I just wanted to do my own thing and make my own hours, so this fitted the bill,’’ Steph said.
‘‘I’ve had a very good response so far, as this is the only coffee van in the area.’’
The Coffee Tree can be found serving up steaming cuppas to weary workers at Manjimup Industrial Area from 8am Monday to Friday.
At the weekend Steph takes the van to events around the region and rec ent ly did we l l a t the Manj imup 15,000.
Customers have the choice of cappuccinos, mochas, hot chocolate, flat whites, lattes, espressos and flavoured syrups, as well as hot pies, sausage pies and muffins.
Steph said a bigger product line was on the way, but she would keep the emphasis on being a coffee van rather than a mobile cafe.‘‘I tasted loads of different coffees before settling on Creama Coffee, which is a WA company and tastes great.’’
