Blind Waikiki tenpin bowler Justin Bettes shows off his national tenpin bowling medals with his guide dog Viking.

Waikiki tenpin bowler Justin Bettes has done it again, returning from the 7th Blind National Tenpin Bowling Championships as the national champion for the fourth time in a row.

Mr Bettes returned from Rooty Hill, NSW, last week with a truck load of medals, including four gold and one silver, and a trophy.

His effort has secured him a spot in the International Blind Sports Federation World Championships in Seoul, South Korea, in May next year.

Bettes said he was one of only six Australians to make the cut, and the only bowler to represent WA.

He said he was excited at the prospect of attending the blindsports world event.

“It is not just a bowling tournament that is over there, it is a big world games scattered over 10 days, it is done like an Olympics,” Bettes said

Ranking number two in the world, Bettes said he hoped to perform at his best and take the podium as number one after placing previously as number two.

Bettes said he had begun fundraising for himself and a trainer to attend the event.
