Search for fatal hit-run driver

An 18-year-old man has died two weeks after he was he was struck by a car in a hit and run incident in Hamilton Hill.

The teenager had been in an induced coma in intensive care since he was hit by the car on February 10 and passed away yesterday.

The man was walking on Rockingham Road near Packham Street about 1am when he was hit by the vehicle, believed to be a black Holden Commodore.

He was taken to Fremantle Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

The male driver of the car failed to stop after the crash and police are urging him or anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
