Basketball: Hard-fought games, some tight results

The summer season for Karratha Basketball Association started back up last week with some hard-fought games and tight results.

Tuesday night saw the resumption of competition in the men’s divison with some close results and some thrashings.

A-grade results revealed a close battle between the Hawks and the Coral Trouts with the former victorious 28- 23.

Meanwhile, the Savannah Tigers almost tripled the Heat 59-20.

Men’s B-grade saw the Filkats defeat The Unnamed 44- 36 and the Blazers beat Brixton 27-23.

The thrashing of the round went to the impressive Mayuga Majik over Northmech with a massive 52-17 scoreline. The women’s competition was on Thursday night with some blow-out results in the B-grade.

Flyers Blue had a scrappy win against their Crusaders rivals coming away with a 24-13 victory.

Other results saw the Roebourne Mustangs thrash theTequiras 46-20. In the women’s A-League the Flyers A beat the Raiders and the Savannah Tigers defeated the Falcons.
