Midway through a tour of some of the best known clubs in the United States with one of the world’s most popular DJs, it’s safe to say things are on the up-and-up for Mind Electric.
The Perth-based DJ will be bringing the same beats he played for thousands in the US to Port Hedland’s Pier Hotel on June 30.
When the North West Telegraph spoke to Kristian Jackson, the man behind Mind Electric, he was focused on living it up on tour with world-renowned DJ Kaskade.
“It’s amazing…my gig with Kaskade at Marquee in Las Vegas had 8000-strong in the club over the duration of the night,” Jackson said.
“I’m really excited to be playing in New York this Saturday at the famous Lavo club.”
Despite the thrill of playing large crowds overseas, Jackson said he still loves coming to the north of WA, as he so often does.
“Every gig I’ve played up north has been so much fun because the punters really party hard,” he said.
“The crowd really seem to appreciate the music which is refreshing from the city folk who are a bit spoiled. If the music has lots of energy and the beats are pumping you are guaranteed a great party, hence why I come up so frequently.”
This time around Jackson will be touring the latest mix from
Melbourne-based dance music label Onelove. Onelove, which started as a now-legendary club night in Melbourne, are known nowadays for organising the Summadayze music festival and releasing annual dance music mixes.
The North West Telegraph and One20 Productions are giving away five prize packs, which include a double-pass to Mind
