Grylls cancels NW visit

Regional Development Minister Brendon Grylls has cancelled a scheduled visit to the Pilbara this weekend after injuring his back.

A spokesman for the Nationals leader said Mr Grylls had “pinched a nerve” in his back and would not make his scheduled appearance at the opening of Larry Mitchell’s Pilbara Project Exhibition at the Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery.

The spokesman said it was “unfortunate” the Minister could not attend but he was in no state to fly.

Mr Grylls had also been scheduled to appear at Port Hedland Mayor Kelly Howlett’s Saturday coffee session and to unveil Karratha's new special service worker's accommodation project - Warambie Estate.
