Organisers have labelled the 2012 Pimps and Pros ball an “amazing success”, with a capacity crowd and well-behaved patrons.

The Port Hedland Water Polo Association’s Rhiannon Edmonds said the event was a huge success, despite finishing early.

“There were a few noise complaints so the night ended at 12.15am instead of 1am, but overall we were really happy with the night,” she said.

“We bought exactly 1200 wristbands to give out when people came in, and we only had six left at the end of the night, so we were pretty much at capacity.

“I didn’t see one fight all night which is great for such a big group of people in Hedland.”

Port Hedland police said overall the night had been fine, with most people well-behaved.
