A Broome man will face court next month after allegedly chasing a man with a large crowbar inside Broome Police Station, causing several thousands of dollars in damage.

The incident occurred around 10.45am last Wednesday. Police will allege a man driving an unlicensed blue Commodore pulled into the station in pursuit of another man, and chased him into the station with the crowbar.

During the pursuit, the man allegedly caused significant damage to the outer sliding glass entrance door before chasing the man down the corridor towards the district office, damaging the office door. The blow caused shards of glass to fly towards an officer sitting at the front desk.

Police will allege the incident was sparked from an ongoing feud between the two unrelated men from the previous night.
