Man injured on Kendenup farm

The West Australian August 6, 2012, 6:00 pm

Strong head winds have forced the RAC rescue helicopter to stop and refuel on the way back from picking up an injured man from a farm near Mount Barker.

St John Ambulance and volunteers from Mount Barker Fire and Rescue rushed to the man’s aid at a farm in Kendenup.

The extent of his injuries is unknown.

The rescue helicopter is flying the man to Jandakot via Albany, after strong head winds forced it to refuel.

The chopper is expected to arrive at Jandakot after 7.30pm, where he will be transferred by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.
