A Kalgoorlie-Boulder woman has been placed on a 12-month community-based order after assaulting another woman with a glass.
Tahlia Beck, 21, appeared in the Kalgoorlie Magistrate’s Court yesterday charged with unlawful wounding and breaching bail conditions.
The court heard Beck was at a bar in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in July when the altercation occurred.
An argument between the two women began at the bar, resulting in Beck pouring her drink over the victim.
Witnesses separated the two, then Beck threw her empty glass at the victim from a short distance away.
The glass struck the victim in the head, causing a large gash which began to bleed heavily. Beck was removed by security and the victim had to be taken to hospital where she received five stitches.
