A man has been sentenced to six months’ jail and fined $500 after once again breaching an order banning him from all licensed venues.
Brian John Kealy, 31, appeared in the Kalgoorlie Magistrate’s Court for the most recent of his repeated breaches.
He had been placed on a pre-sentence order and barred from entering licensed premises for assaulting a police officer in July.
Kealy struck the officer twice in the face while the officer tried to arrest him after he was ejected from a venue.
He had breached the barring notice previously in September and Magistrate Felicity Zempilas sent him to stay at the Goldfields Rehabilitation Centre.
