The youth of Kalgoorlie-Boulder have spoken up about what they want to see in the city, and the Youth Council is listening.
The Youth Council launched a short film last week produced as part of Youth Talk Back Time.
The project, funded by the Department for Communities, involved the Youth Council undertaking an extensive youth consultation project, seeking input from young people of a variety of ages and backgrounds, on what they think about Kalgoorlie-Boulder and what action they would like to see taken in the future.
It consisted of two components – an online survey was completed by 175 people aged 12 to 20 and one-on-one and group consultations in which an additional 150 took part.
The results of this consultation were captured on film and will form the basis of the council’s first Youth Strategic Plan.
