Non-stop rodeo action

There were plenty of thrills and spills at the Esperance rodeo on Saturday.

Cowboys and cowgirls entertained a crowd of more than 2000 people at the Greater Sports Ground during a day of non-stop action.

One of the bravest riders on the day was RadioWest announcer Jamie McDonald, who agreed to ride a bull named Cyclone.

It took a bit of convincing by the rodeo clowns for him to scramble onto the bull’s back, but after some reassurance from lots of helpers, he was ready to go.
