Half-centuries from Freightlines’ Shane Tobin and Newtown’s Michael McArthur ensured their respective teams claimed victory in the latest round of Ramm’s Cup fixtures.

Tobin crafted 67 to be his side’s top-scorer as Freightlines reached 9-216 from their 45 overs.

Trevor Ayers (43) provided support for Tobin as Ports’ Nigel Thompson was the pick of the bowlers – taking 3-35.

In reply, a well-made 35 from opener Sean Cruttenden had Ports sitting nicely at 2-85 before disaster struck.

Ports then lived out a nightmare, losing 8-14 to be bowled out for just 99 in the 35th over.

Ayers and Declan Hughes did the damage with the ball – both claiming three wickets in the comfortable win.
