Victories to Olympians and CBC have enabled them a share of top spot after the latest round of fixtures in local women’s Division basketball at the weekend.
Going into the weekend’s matches, CBC, Olympians and Saints were all locked in a share of top place, tied on 14 points.
But a standout performance from Keegan O’Loughlin ensured Olympians were never troubled by Heat, winning 67-42.
O’Loughlin proved too good for the Heat line-up, scoring at will – ending the night with 25 points to her name.
Support from Madison Lalich (14) and Leonie Cooper (nine) put the result beyond doubt while Shari Champion led the way for Heat with 19 points.In the remaining game, CBC and Saints played out an enthralling match, with CBC falling over the line, 46-45.
