An impressive opening half from Sonix ensured they took the points over Mana in the latest round of Eastern Goldfields Netball Association fixtures at the weekend.

The victorious Sonix outfit jumped out of the blocks in the opening two quarters – setting up a match-winning seven-goal lead by half-time.

Extending their advantage to nine at the final change, Mana tried their best to haul in Sonix.

However, the deficit proved too much for Mana as Sonix ran out 10-goal winners, 38-28.

Stormers were unable to make amends for a loss to Sonix in the previous round as they lost to Rookies, 43-36.

After a see-sawing opening half, resulting in the score being locked at19-all, Rookies kicked away.
