Goldfields Titans acting president Rob Hunt believes the club has the talent to bring the State rugby league title to the region by the end of the season.
Hunt said he was looking forward to the start of the season and believed Titans had what it takes to be genuine title contenders.
“We have a really strong team this season and we have a number of young players involved for the first time, ” he said.
“The team have reaffirmed their commitment from last year and they have been training really hard for our opening match.
“We have almost all of our players from last year coming back so we should be strong contenders for the title this year.”
Hunt said the addition of new coach Mark Tuulau was showing benefits at Titans’ training.
“There are real differences between Mark’s coaching style and my own which is great to see, ” he said.
