New bore for playing fields

Urgent maintenance works are being carried out to water the Greater Sports Ground playing fields in Esperance after a bore collapsed recently.

Engineering Services Director Gavin Harris said the pump and reticulation lines were clogged with sand but a new bore was being commissioned this week.

“While the grass is looking a bit brown at present, it will return to a green colour relatively quickly in the next few weeks once the new bore is in operation, â€
