Sbizzirri set to miss

North Kalgoorlie will be without talented batsman Ashley Sbizzirri due to work commitments in the Pilbara for next Sunday’s do-or-die clash with Lake View in Goldfields A grade turf cricket.

In just his fifth game of the season, Sbizzirri took Norths to the brink of victory with a brilliant 80 against ladder leaders Hannans on Sunday.

Sbizzirri combined with first drop James Brennan, who struck his maiden A grade half-century, for a 124-run partnership.

“It’s never easy chasing and we didn’t get off to an ideal start (3-13 after eight overs),” Norths coach Craig Wood said.
