Esperance urged to nominate best beaches

Kalgoorlie Miner February 7, 2012, 9:47 am

Esperance residents who enjoy the beach culture have been encouraged to nominate their favourite beach and get involved in this year’s Clean Beaches Awards.

Keep Australia Beautiful WA Council chair Mel Hay said the awards recognised the effort people put into protecting and improving their beaches.

Mr Hay said the program was about more than clean beaches as it also recognised programs that focused on social elements or natural resources management and conservation.

Entries close on April 20.

Beaches will be judged in May and the winners announced at an awards ceremony in early June.
