An Esperance man has been charged with drug cultivation after a police raid late last week.

Police executed a search warrant at the property on Friday afternoon, seizing 10 cannabis plants.

Esperance Police Sergeant Duncan Swadkins said the plants were found in the man’s back yard.

“They were all fully mature – we’ll be alleging he was growing them in his back yard, ” Sgt Swadkins said.

“He’s facing a number of charges in relation to the drug cultivation.”

The man is expected to appear in the Esperance Magistrate’s Court next month.
