Swim lap-a-thon

Kalgoorlie Miner February 1, 2012, 9:55 am

The Kambalda Amateur Swimming Club will hold a special 12-hour lap-a-thon to raise money for competitors travelling to Collie for next month’s country pennants.

The lap-a-thon is set down for February 11 and will conclude the following day.

It will encompass teams of eight swimmers with one swimmer from each team in the pool at all times.

The club is also gearing up for a special coaching clinic with Kacey O’Connell later this month.

O’Connell has conducted similar sessions with local swimmers twice before and is a former member of the KASC.

The club expects to confirm its team for the country pennants in Collie within the next fortnight.
