Local centres exceed standard
Two childcare services in Kalgoorlie-Boulder have ratings which exceed the national quality standard set by the State Government.
Kids on Carrington and Goldfields Child Care Centre Boulder exceeded the standard, according to the Department of Local Government and Communities, which implements the national rating system in WA.
Another service, Goodstart Early Learning Somerville, was rated as meeting the national quality standard.
Six other Kalgoorlie-Boulder childcare services have yet to be rated.
The department has rated 120 of the State’s childcare services, with only 26 receiving a rating of exceeded.
Kids on Carrington supervisor Sarah-Jane Healey was happy to receive the exceeded rating.
